There are foods that cause heartburn and while they may not cause any problems in certain people, in others who have a poor gastrointestinal tract or who are just very sensitive, they can cause serious problems.Of course the foods that cause heartburn are often different from one person to the next but there are a few basic foods that tend to aggravate the condition. There are a few other steps that are important to take as well in order to stay as heartburn free as possible.

This includes getting physical activity and fitting in exercise whenever possible.Few people exercise enough and this can really help with heartburn as can the cessation of drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Not eating large meals is another tip that can help with heartburn. This can be a tough condition to have to deal with but by understanding more about it, people will have a better chance of finding relief.
